There are a number of ways in which our services can be funded:

Legal Aid

You may qualify for funding from the Scottish Legal Aid Board.

This will largely depend on your individual financial circumstances and those of your partner or spouse.

We can discuss this with you.

Legal Advice and Assistance may come into play where you have recently been dismissed or made redundant and have been unsuccessful so far in finding a new job.

The Scottish Legal Aid Board now requires proof of your financial circumstances – which includes bank statements from the last 3 months and details of any savings or other capital assets which you may possess. We urge you to bring these to your first appointment.

Funding from insurers

You may have a Business/ Home insurance policy which offers legal cover. We can liaise with your insurers about providing you with advice regarding the circumstances of your particular case.

Often these policies allow you to nominate the solicitor of your choice and we have previously been instructed by the leading providers of legal cover. This cover will enable you to take your claim to the Tribunal should you wish to do so.

Private payment of our fees

If you do not have insurance cover and do not qualify for Legal Aid, our fee rates are favourable.

We will discuss your situation with you sympathetically at the outset, which will include your financial situation. We will always try to be as flexible as possible in reaching agreement on a rate of fee that suits all.
